Biography :
Don Bierman grew up on a small farm in southeastern Illinois, graduated from the University of Illinois, spent thirty-two years working at an input supply cooperative and now serves as CEO of Crop IMS LLC. Crop IMS is an Ag technology company based in the Midwest with clients all over the US. In 2010, Crop IMS helped start a new entity, MyWay RTK dedicated to providing open-access RTK to agriculture whose coverage area today is spread across much of the US. Crop IMS also is involved with a company called Independent Data Management LLC whose primary product, MyAgData, facilitates the automated submission of crop acreage reporting to crop insurance companies, the USDA, and other service providers.

With all the new awareness of data privacy and usage concerns throughout society today, Agriculture is only now beginning to grapple with what it means to work with customer data.  We will highlight some of the more relevant points of this topic; in particular, how it pertains to you as a service provider to your customers.  Crop IMS is actively engaged in this area of interest as part of our consulting work with do with customers.

Biography :
Barry Bewley is a Technology Specialist at MyWay RTK in Effingham, IL. He received an Associate Degree in Ag Production from Carl Sandburg College and studied Plant and Soil Science at Southern Illinois University. Barry worked 21 years in Ag-Retail, the last 14 years as Agronomist/Precision Ag Specialist before moving into his current role with MyWay RTK. Having been involved in GPS Steering and RTK Networks since 2004, Barry brings years of practical experience to the subject of GPS correction and its distribution to the end user in the field.

Biography :
Dave Swain attended Purdue University and graduated in December of 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. After graduation, Dave worked from 1989 – 1995 in the retail fertilizer industry, three in SW Ohio and three in SW Michigan. In 1995, Dave started with AgChem Equipment Company selling equipment in southern Indiana. From 1997 to 2003, Dave worked in AgChems technology division, SOILTEQ, as a territory manager. In 2003, after AGCOs purchase of AgChem in 2001, AGCO created a technology-focused group. Dave served in various capacities in that group from Manager of the Technology Field Staff, Technology Product Marketing Specialist and Manager of ATS Marketing for North America. In July of 2013, Dave started with Southern States Cooperative as their Manager of the Precision Ag program. He is charged with developing, implementing and managing the Precision Ag program for Southern States Cooperative.
